The Klipspringer Pro Rapid Allergen Test Kit for Peanut is intended for a quick detection of protein from allergenic ingredients on environmental surfaces (swab test) and rinse water samples. The tests don't require a separate extraction step for rinse water and swab samples and results are delivered within 10 minutes of sampling, making them ideal for monitoring production lines.
Klipspringer Pro Rapid Allergen Test Kits are intended for a quick detection of protein from allergenic ingredients on environmental surfaces (swab test) and rinse water samples. It’s a qualitative test in lateral flow immunoassay format for visual detection. The kit comes with a swab kit and does not require any additional consumables for testing. This kit is not capable of testing food materials but is a simple 2-step test method for test swab and rinse water.
Detection rate of 0.5ppm (highest level of accuracy)
Easy to use, with just two simple steps (no other test kit on the market has such a simple procedure)
Does not require any additional consumables for testing
Assay time of 10 minutes with no sample preparation time required
Can be stored between 2-30°C (don’t have to be stored in a fridge)
Lifespan of at least twelve months
Most affordable option on the market
Supplied with a Safety Data Sheet and Validation Document
Instructions:
Extraction procedure for swab test samples:
1) Open a screw cap of the Swab kit and squeeze the swab bud to remove excess moisture.
2) Thoroughly wipe off the specified surface area with the swab.
3) Place the swab into the bottle, cap tightly and shake it vigorously. The resulting solution is referred to as 'Test Solution'.
4) Place a test stick horizontally. Flip open the lid, invert and add 200μL (4 drops) of Test Solution to the sample application slot by squeezing.
For rinse water samples:
Collect water, which is then referred to as the 'Test Solution'. Place a test stick horizontally and add 200 μL of Test Solution to the sample application slot.
Analysis:
1) Incubate 10 minutes at room temperature.
2) Interpret the results from the test window.
Results:
A) Positive: A red-purple line in a test window together with red color in a confirmation window.
B) Negative: No line in a test window together with a red color in a confirmation window.
C) Invalid: No colour in a confirmation window.
Note:
If no colour in a confirmation window, retest with a new stick. Negative results will occur if Test Solution contains target protein less than detectable levels.
False-negative results may occur if Test Solution contains target protein at relatively high concentrations, in that case, retest with a diluted Test Solution. For more information about false-negative results and how to avoid them, click here.
