A further problem Andy faced was the screens he was using were not suitable for use in his factory.
This presented further risks:
- Foreign-body/contamination.
- Bacteria harbourage.
- Materials not suited to food production environments and cleaning chemicals.
Just to compound these issues, the segregation 'line' was never a straight line! However, all the screening options available to him needed to be in a straight line to be effective. This resulted in gaps between screens or larger-than-necessary areas being separated off.
