As Brexit hits the headlines again, we appreciate that many of our partners will be making plans to ensure continuity of supply whilst seeking to minimise any adverse effects that the forthcoming transition period may bring.  At Klipspringer, we would like to reassure all of our stakeholders and partners that we are taking preparations seriously, particularly regarding potential disruption to supply, pricing and service levels in the event of no trade agreement being reached.

The products and services we supply are:
- Safety and compliance equipment designed for use in the Food Industry.
- The servicing and calibration of instrumentation.

All goods will be despatched and invoiced from our primary warehouse –

Prices
We cannot guarantee prices will remain the same, especially in the event of products being affected - depending on the exit deal - by both import and export tariffs, where these cannot be absorbed.

Lead Times
We do not envisage substantial increases to delivery lead times post-Brexit. All stock orders placed before 4pm will continue to be despatched same day. Delivery lead times to Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland may be increased from 2 to 4 days, depending on courier network capacity.

Incoterms

We will be supplying all customers in UK and Ireland ‘Delivered Duty Paid’ (DDP). This means we will cover the customs paperwork for both export and import, and the prices you pay will be inclusive of these costs.

EORI Number
Our UK EORI Number is GB732130186000.  Our Irish VAT number is IE 3723601NH; this will be included on all relevant documentation for our partners in the Republic of Ireland.
Stockholding
We have prepared for potential delays at ports by increasing our stock holding of all key lines to a minimum of 4 months stock. Where possible, we recommend that our partners discuss their upcoming needs with us ahead of time to allow for unforeseen delays which could occur during the transition process.
Commodity Codes
We use a comprehensive ERP system, in which all products have their respective commodity codes. From the 1st January 2021, our paperwork will contain the respective commodity codes.
Commercial Invoices
We will be producing automatic commercial invoices at point of despatch to ensure that the export/import process is seamless. All commercial invoices will contain detailed descriptions and commodity codes of the goods supplied.
Country of Origin
Not everything we supply is made in our facility in the UK, however we have accurate records against all of our products relating to their country of origin.
Delivery Routes
We use Fast Parcel Couriers for the delivery of your orders, who are prepared for the extra requirements that Brexit will entail. All goods sent to Republic of Ireland will transit direct from England and not via Northern Ireland. No goods sent to Northern Ireland will have the intended final destination of Republic of Ireland. We do not use the UK as a land bridge.
                                                             Packaging
Our primary packaging is cardboard boxes, however when and where pallets are used, they will be ISPM15 compliant.

As the UK’s leading supplier of hygiene, production and technical equipment, we would like to reiterate our ongoing commitment to maintaining compliance and food safety throughout the food and beverage manufacturing industry.  Whatever the outcome of the Brexit trade talks may be, Klipspringer have taken the above steps to ensure that we can stand by this dedication.

Should you have further questions, please contact us and we will be delighted to assist further.  Thank you for your ongoing valued custom, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen our business partnerships in 2021 and beyond.
