"The use of dedicated, clearly identifiable cleaning equipment (e.g. colour coded) for removal of contained breakages, such equipment shall be stored separately from other cleaning equipment."
"The use of dedicated, accessible, lidded waste containers for the collection of damaged containers and fragments."
- 1. The kit is a dedicated kit which is designed solely for the cleaning up collection of glass or hard brittle plastic from an incident.
- 2. Available in 11 colours, enabling you to add extra colour distinction and likely choose a colour that is not yet in use on site currently therefore reducing the risk of cross contamination.
- 3. As the lobby pan is lidded it allows for the glass or brittle plastic fragments to be contained and removed from the area safely with no risk of further contamination.
- 4. Klipspringer offer bespoke shadow boards to house the glass and hard plastic breakage kits on, so they can be stored separately from other cleaning equipment, as required by the standard but can also be very visible to staff and readily accessible for use when an incident occurs. These boards can be wall mounted with screws or magnets.
- 5. In addition, our brand new IndeliMark service also allows each item in the kit to be marked with “Glass breakage use only” or similar to further reduce the risk of items being used for other tasks.
- 6. We recommend that any equipment for a glass breakage incident is only used once to prevent the risk of glass shards then becoming a foreign body risk. The components are available on their own or as a complete kit. For more information on the Glass Breakage Kit Refills click here.
- 7. Klipspringer also offer Allergen (solid, liquid and powder) spill kits and Bio hazard kits in all 11 colours. To view the complete range of spillage kits click here.
