On 4th and 5th June, the food service industry will descend on the NEC for the Commercial Kitchen Show. This brings together the latest innovations and key industry stakeholders to form an unmissable event! As an established name in food safety and compliance, Klipspringer is pleased to be exhibiting at Commercial Kitchen Show 2019. On stand B51 we will be demonstrating a range of solutions to help everyone make food safety and compliance safer, smarter and simpler.

A quick snapshot of what you'll find on the Klipspringer stand:

Food Oil Management

Despite the current focus on sustainability, reducing waste cooking oil is regularly overlooked. All too often, the process for changing oil depends on one nominated individual having the responsibility to make a subjective decision (eg oil colour). At the Commerical Kitchen Show, we'll be demonstrating how the FOM330 Food Oil Monitor allows any member of staff to make an objective decision on when to change oil. Consequently, oil is only changed when it needs to be. Not only does this result in an increase in consistency and compliance, it often also reduces costs.

Wireless temperature monitoring

Each year, food worth tens of thousands of £s is thrown away as a result of fridge/freezer failure. Most professionals are aware of the benefits a temperature monitoring system brings, but a handful of very real problems often make such systems seem impractical. That's why Klipspringer's SenseAnywhere monitoring system has proved so popular in the food industry - a simple cloud-based, plug-and-play, system. There's no need for expensive IT support or set-up, and you can simply add or reconfigure it at any time.  SenseAnywhere is also compatible with a number of digital food safety management systems such as Trail, allowing you to integrate temperature monitoring into your wider food safety system.

Bluetooth temperature probes

The relentless drive to remove the risk of human error from the supply chain, along with more advanced traceability requirements, means traditional methods of recording temperature are simply not enough. However, this remains a very manual process which creates a bit of a conundrum. Bluetooth temperature probes present the answer - your probing process can essentially remain unchanged but data is recorded and transmitted via Bluetooth for full audit traceability. Talk to us about integrating with your Digital Food Safety Management System, such as Trail, for the ultimate in digitalisation and maximum efficiency!

Colour coding

How do you prevent allergen cross-contamination? Or (for example) stop staff from using the same mop in the back-of-house food prep area as in the customer toilets? A solid colour coding policy is essential - our team will be on hand at the Commercial Kitchen Show to discuss your colour coding policy with you.

Spill containment

How do you handle allergen spillage situations? Don't just think about the obvious spills, but also incidents involving processed allergens. Leading brands choose to use Klipspringer's bespoke spill kits as the most efficient and effective solution.

Lean principles and best practise

Analysis of commercial kitchens shows a lot of down time is the result of the wrong tools being in the wrong place and/or being used for the wrong job! In essence this is the exact opposite of 5S methodology (a place for everything and everything in its place). Solutions such as bespoke colour coded shadow boards help you overcome this dilemma. At the same time, unnecessary and accidental damage to equipment is reduced, helping your consumable budget go further!

Asset management

Tracking an ever-growing list of assets can be a problem for any commercial kitchen. From specialist labels to direct-print solutions, all have their drawbacks. (Not least the impact of food fats and cleaning chemicals causing ink to fade.) Following months of development, Klipspringer is pleased to bring you Indelimark. Not only is it ink-free and guaranteed not to fade, it is also completely food safe.

Increasing hygiene whilst reducing chemicals.

Imagine a world where you could clean without the need for harmful chemicals! For years, commercial kitchens have balanced the need for hygiene with the negative effects and risks of chemicals. The iClean Mini provides such a solution, turning ordinary tap water into one of the world’s most powerful sanitisers and cleaners. The benefits are endless:

  • Removes chemicals from inventory
  • Reduces H&S burden associated with cleaning chemicals
  • Bountiful supply – never run out!
  • Reduces costs
  • Improves results
  • Reduces damage to work, serving and eating.
